Video has always been my wheelhouse and my deepest love.
Most recently, as a member of CalTV, I implemented, produced and hosted an Artist Chats series with musicians visiting the Bay Area, created Gameday game-shows and a blind dating show called Bae Area. I increased our viewership by 32% in one month through my Valentine's Day street interviews. I was also named Member of the Semester in my first semester. I was then scouted by Builders Movement to be a campus content creator.
I have a certificate from UCL's Open City Documentary Program. I am self-taught in Adobe Creative Suite; I edit videos using Premiere Pro.
CalTV Artist Chats: DJ Fatboy Slim
I launched, produced and hosted an Artist Chats series in my time at CalTV. My interview with Fatboy Slim was my first video of the series. I oversaw the project from start to finish: contacting the talent, scouting and liasing with the venue, assembling a film crew from my CalTV, scheduling callsheets, drafting questions, holding the interview and directing the final edit.
During the process, I encountered many obstacles, but persevered to find innovative solutions in the face of each problem.
Builders (formerly Starts With Us)
I was scouted to create interview content for Builders Movement on the UC Berkeley campus in collaboration with the University Marketing Association. Builders is an organization aiming to bridge political divides through open, often challenging conversations. Builders leverages the power of media to encourage understanding and confront polarization.
These videos were published to Builders' Instagram (122k followers), TikTok (1.3 million followers) and YouTube (4.9k followers). It was fascinating to read the conversations that they sparked in each video's comment section, reminding me of the responsibility we hold in the media to foster connection.
Gameday Game Show: Spin the Wheel
On Parents’ Weekend, Berkeley students enjoyed the Gameday revelries and tailgates with their families. CalTV took to the streets to ask some fun questions, determined by the Wheel of Truth, which we designed and made. I produced and edited the series, also interviewing some participants.

Robert Orbach Documentary
I produced, directed, shot and edited a 20-minute documentary on local London legend, Robert Orbach. This was my final coursework for UCL's Open City Documentary Course.
Robert was the manager of the ‘I Was Lord Kitchener’s Valet’ boutique of 1960s Swinging London and sold Jimi Hendrix his iconic military jacket off his own back. I had met Robert by chance a few years earlier, striking up a conversation outside a cafe, and never forgot his fascinating background.

The documentary follows Robert as he reflects on his memoir, which he has been writing daily for the past decade.

This project was emotionally challenging at times; I spent almost every day for a month with Robert, learning about his perspectives on ageing and nostalgia. I learned to strike a balance between considering Robert as a friend and as the subject of the film. This documentary was a valuable lesson in making subjects feel as comfortable as possible whilst retaining professionalism.
CalTV Valentine's Day: Street Interviews and Bae Area
I produced Valentine's Day street interviews, asking couples around Berkeley how they met. After the success of this series, bringing 290,000 views to CalTV's Instagram page, I produced Bae Area, a blind dating show where 1 girl had rapid-fire conversations with 3 different bachelors. Bae Area is still in post-production at the moment.

It Girl (BTS)
I shot and edited the Behind the Scenes video of the short film 'It Girl'. Filming on a camcorder was a joy- I love the liberated quality of camcorder footage and its sense of movement. This BTS video was used as promotional media for the project.
I was scouted for this project from previous work, and had never met the team before the shoot-day. This project developed my ability to be highly adaptable when collaborating with strangers. I appreciated the opportunity to observe how the director made the talent feel comfortable and empowered.
